Understanding Your Body
註釋A most comprehensive, concise, and clearly written guide for the lay person on female health. The authors, who include three gynecologists, have greatly revised, enlarged, and updated their My Body, My Health (1979). They have expanded sections on herpes, infertility, and osteoporosis; revised the chapter on IUDs; and added new chapters on AIDS, toxic shock syndrome, and hysteroscopy. Numerous other topics from changes during puberty to menopause are discussed. Each is explained briefly, yet the discussion is fact-filled and intelligible. Far more complete than The New Our Bodies, Ourselves ( LJ 3/15/85), this belongs in most public libraries. Highly recommended. Florence Scarinci, Nassau Community Coll. Lib., Garden City, N.Y. -Library Journal.
