Spirit-calligraphy & painting
註釋"The paintings collected in this volume were produced by a technique called spirit-painting in the Society for Calligraphy and Painting of the Orthodox School in Taipei (Taiwan, Republic of China). Spirit-painting means that the painting is not produced by the human being visibly wielding the brush, but by a supernatural agency for whom he serves as a medium. Thus, spirit-painting is a form of mediumistic communication with the supernatural. It is a rare variant of the in China more common spiritwriting; while there exist hundreds of spiritwriting groups in present-day Taiwan, the Society for Calligraphy and Painting of the Orthodox School is unique on the island in its practice of spirit-painting."--
