註釋In spite of the diverse opportunities to participate in various forms of exercise at the workplace & during leisure time, the number of young people who have pain in the locomotive apparatus of the body is increasing. Apparently, many of the forms of exercise offered do not take into account either the individual level of fitness, sensible energetics, or a balance of agility, strength & stamina. This guide arose out of this realization & turned years of experience in manual medicine, physical therapy, rehabilitation, & sports medicine into a systematically structured exercise program. The theoretical foundations, relevant experimental procedures & the basic concept of therapy of limited mobility in the form of mobilization & stretching are discussed. However, the focus is on at-home exercise strategies which include the doctor or physical therapist as a mediating "trainer" in an advisory & supervisory role.
