The Fort at No 4 1740-1760
註釋The history of the fortified village of No. 4 on the Connecticut river in the Massachusetts bay colony. In 1753 it was chartered by New Hampshire as Charlestown. 1740-1760 was the period of King George's and the French and Indian wars. The settlers suffered attacks and captivities.
