Variable Cloudiness is a new collection of fifty-six poems by John Robert Colombo that are at once witty and wise, resourceful and readable, aware and rare.
They dramatize the "inner weather," climates and atmospheres of love and sex, places close-at-hand and far away, the country's culture, its federal constituencies, popular reference books, philosophy and psychology. Combined in this collection are three modes of expression -- original poetry, found poetry, translated poetry -- all presented in an engaging manner, entertaining and enlightening.
