Abstract: "In this work we present some sufficient conditions of stability for Flexible Manufacturing Systems with no set-up times, obtained from a modelling using differential equations over time. After introducing the concept of conserving bound policies, we show the general results, and then we pay special attention to the 2-machine case, for which it is possible to derive conditions of stability different from those presented in previous works. The more particular 2-machine 1-product case is analyzed in detail, what produces new results and generalizes the study of the classical example of Kumar and Seidman."
