The Motel and Other Digressions
註釋All life is a digression-buying and selling the Millstream Motel gave me just the right arc to write this book. As absentee owner of the Motel, I lived happily in both the City (New York) and the lush landscape of Woodstock. Meeting the needs and responsibilities of country life while maintaining an artistic and academic existence is an especially exhilarating experience for a city boy. The Motel and Other Digressions is an almost-memoir about the motel business in the bucolic countryside of bears, bats, wild cats, flower-eating deer, difficult house renters and other challenging beasts, while the art school life is chock full of city life. This book may be an almost-memoir; it is, however, all true.
