I am sorry if you imagined everyone who writes poetry to be a tortured soul, locked away somewhere, wringing every last nuance of emotion out of themselves to illuminate their compositions. I work spontaneously quickly and very rarely go back to edit (other than to correct the odd typo). I always see my poetic stories as glimpses into moments of time, rather like seeds trapped in amber, windows showing a view into past events and places I have been.
