Wormwood
註釋Previously, in the Pat O'Sheen short story "The Day's of Ezekiel", semi-retired covert agent Pat O'Sheen coordinated the infiltration of Agent Antonio Bonaro into Iran to tag two nuclear missiles with tracking devices. When Iran's president Ahmadinejad launched the missiles, the tracking devices allowed Israel to intercept the nuclear missiles over Jordon. The Russian Army was amassed in Jordon and was entering the Israeli controlled Palestinian West Bank in retaliation for Israel's preemptive attack on Iran's nuclear enrichment facility. The world was in shock when the nuclear missiles detonated over Amman, Jordan wiping out the city of three million people. Why had North Korea armed the missiles with outdated contact fuses? The missile should have fallen harmlessly to the ground. The detonations also annihilated the Russian Army in Jordan and on the mountains of Israel. Israel spent seven months categorizing the DNA of the human remains of the Russian Army before burying the human remains in the Valley of Hammon. The ancient prophecies in Ezekiel 38 & 39 were fulfilled. In this novella "Wormwood"...the second in this series...agent Pat O'Sheen learns of a comet threatening Earth. The NASA scientist who discovered it, named it 'Wormwood' from The Book of Revelations. Pat O'Sheen had already made plans to move his family to West Virginia after the location of his home in Alabama had been compromised along with his covert identity "Coyote". He had already thwarted several assignation attempts against him from overseas enemies he had made during his long, lethal covert career. The CIA had moved their headquarters into the bunkers beneath the O'Sheen house in Alabama during the Israeli Nuclear Crisis. Now, to survive the "Wormwood Crisis" they were moving their headquarters to the bunkers below the O'Sheen house in West Virginia. The President and Congress were relocating to the Bunker at the West Virginia Greenbrier Resort. Elevation was the key. The earthquakes and tsunamis anticipated from the comet's impact might destroy most of the world's civilizations, but West Virginia could survive. The U.S. Military was developing a plan to deflect the comet. If successful, the government in West Virginia might be the key to restoring order to the civilizations of the world. After the comet's impact. Pat O'Sheen helped the country form a plan of restoration. His wife of almost forty years, agonized by the suffering of American East Coast survivers, rose up to the challenge and helped formulate a plan for ordinary citizens to house and feed the millions of East Coast refugees.
