註釋From the Executive Summary: This study is based on an analysis of trends in compensation for 14 specific occupations in each of nine major cities across Canada, and upon differences in living costs in each of these cities throughout the 1970s. The purpose is to determine whether changes have occurred in the relative rates of pay for these jobs among cities, whether living cost differences actually exist and, it so, their extent and the source of these differences. The study concludes with an assessment of the possible impact of compensation and cost-of-living differences on national and regional pay systems and on relocation policy.
