Letters to Aamne
註釋Edmund A. Brannen, M.D., was a boy in the 1920's in the small east Georgia town of Millen. Sometimes hilarious and not always "politically correct," his remembrances recall a simpler and more innocent time. From the burning of the outhouse to Charles Lindbergh's flight over the local hospital, scenes of small-town Southern life are recounted in loving and humorous detail. Written as letters to his beloved granddaughter, Aamne Dianne Shalabi, these recollections are by turns witty, irreverent, and reflective, the themes both historical and timeless.
