I was bored and lonely. It was raining, and I felt so cold, but there was no one to cuddle with. Can I really find my dream guy on 'Find Your forever?"

I downloaded the app on my phone. This might just be the answer to my loneliness.

My requirements are simple; He must be tall, handsome, honest, faithful, and old-fashioned.

I created a profile on the website and put a few things about myself; Introvert, book lover, music lover, I love honest people. However, I didn't use my real name because I wanted to remain anonymous.

What am I looking for?

I want a male friend.

I got a notification that my account was live, so anyone could see my account. Then I got five possible match suggestions. I was allowed to browse the website and send a message to anyone that I liked. But the website always suggested five matches for every new account owner.

The first guy was an artist; he looked handsome in a feminine way. I read his profile and quickly swiped forward.

The second match was an older guy who was a single father. His smile looked genuine. His hair was already receding at the hairline, but he still looked great. However, I didn't feel that he was the one for me.

I swiped forward and moved to the third guy. His name was Byron; he was a rancher and a divorcee. I didn't feel that he was the one, so I checked out the fourth guy.

The fourth guy seemed interesting; he was a dog trainer, a lover of books and music. He also loved to hike and swim.

The fifth guy didn't have a picture on his profile. His name was Danny. He was 100% introverted, he loved to read, and he also loved classical music. He was also looking for a friend, unlike the other guys who said they were looking for lovers or life partners. It almost seemed as if this person was trying to be anonymous. Why would you try to be anonymous on a dating website?

I clicked on his profile and scrolled down to the end of the page. To my surprise, his account was registered only a few minutes ago. I wasn't superstitious or religious, but I felt a connection to him. Maybe he was the one I had been searching for. I wondered if my profile would be among the five suggested matches that he would receive.

The rain got heavy, making me shiver with cold. I pulled a duvet over my body, wondering if the universe was trying to decide my fate. I didn't want to be the first to message him, but what if he never saw my profile?

I clicked on the message box and started to type a message to him. I paused when I realized that he was typing a message to me. My heart pounded heavily in my ears. Things like this don't happen to me. Maybe I was reading too much meaning into this, but I couldn't control the rush of excitement that I was feeling. My skin broke into goose bumps, and I felt a warm sensation in the pit of my stomach.

"Hi Jasmyn, my name is Danny. I just came across your profile, can we be friends?"

"Hi, Danny, it's a pleasure to meet you," I replied.I attempted to kick off my shoes as I unlocked the door, ignoring the messages popping up on the screen of my phone. I had a bad day at the office, as usual, and I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone except for my online lover, whose username was Danny.
