Intraocular Rupture of an Epithelial Inclusion Cyst in a Dog
註釋An 8-year-old female spayed mixed breed dog presented with blepharospasm and conjunctival hyperemia five months following presumptive diagnosis with a corneal epithelial inclusion cyst of the left eye. Biomicroscopic examination revealed a sheet of white debris adhered to the corneal endothelium underlying the defect within the anterior chamber. Excisional keratectomy was elected for ocular comfort and the site was repaired by a corneal allograft and a conjunctival pedicle graft. Cytology of the intraocular debris was consistent with an epithelial inclusion cyst, and diagnosis was confirmed by histopathology. Ten weeks post-surgery, the patient remained visual and comfortable in the surgical eye with no recurrence of signs. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first report of intraocular rupture of an epithelial inclusion cyst in the veterinary literature.
