註釋Recent regulatory proposals for margin requirements on non-cleared over-the-counter derivative products (i.e., derivatives that are not traded and not cleared on an exchange but instead are traded directly between two parties) could have resulted in dramatic changes in the ability of market participants such as nonfinancial firms to use non-cleared products. As of September 2013, most non-financial firms are exempt from these requirements. This panel examines the economic value of over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives for nonfinancial firms.
