William Henry Hughes Sr. (b.ca.1760) married Nancy Mary Bell and moved from South Carolina to Jefferson County, Georgia about 1785, to St. Tamany parish, Louisiana by 1812, and to Copiah County, Mississippi in 1825/1830. He died after October 1851. Descendants and relatives lived in Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and elsewhere.
