Donation aux Recollets de Quebec faite par M. de Lotbinière
註釋Concession of land, dated Oct. 23, 1670 in Québec, to the Recollect fathers by Chartier de Lotbinière. Chartier appeared before the royal notary, Gilles Rageot, to execute the return to the Recollects of certain tracts of land along the St. Charles River previously belonging to the Order, and which had been granted to Chartier on Jan. 29, 1662 by Baron Pierre Dubois d'Avaugour, governor of Canada at the time. Restoration of ownership of the property is conveyed by Chartier to Father Germain Allart, provincial of the Recollect Order. Other signatures include those of Daniel Rémy de Courcelle, governor and lieutenant-general of Québec, and first apostolic syndic of the Recollect Order; witness Jacques de la Tousche; notary Gilles Rageot; and members of the Recollects who had sailed from La Rochelle, France with Intendant Jean Talon in May 1670 to reestablish the Order in Canada: Father Gabriel de la Ribourde, supérieur des Recollects du Canada; Father Simple Landon, lay brother Anselme Bardou, and deacon Luc François.
