註釋Ever since the National Commission on Agriculture emphasized the need to increase the importance of plantation crops, there has been a phenomenal growth in the area of major plantation crops like tea, coffee, rubber, cashewnut and cocoa. The area increase in these crops has been over 25 per cent of the projections. This study analyses the prospects of coffee, cocoa, rubber, pepper and cardamom crops besides touching upon tea, coconut, cashewnut and arecanut as to their status and performance.
