The Significance of the Frontier in American History
註釋Frederick Jackson Turner (1861-1932) was an American historian. He was a professor of history at the University of Wisconsin (1890-1910) and Harvard (1910-1922). He is best known for this work on the frontier in American history in which he emphasized the importance of the frontier in shaping the American character. The work was first published on July 12, 1893, in a paper read in Chicago to the American Historical Association during the Chicago World's Fair.
