Stephen D. Ross Thesis
註釋The papers consist of a master's thesis, Young men will go forth -- a study of combat infantry replacement measures in the United States Army, written in 1997 by Stephen D. Ross. In the thesis, submitted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Ross argues that "the United States Army has never entered a war with an adequate personnel replacement system." Ross examines manpower problems from the Revolutionary War through the Vietnam War, and then discusses the United States (U.S.) Army's COHORT program (Cohesion, Operational Readiness and Training) and Desert Storm.
