註釋
Low frequency sounds from whales, apparently right whales, Eubalaena glacialis, occurred in similar stanzas that were repeated every 8 to 10 minutes. Each stanza lasted 11 to 14 minutes. It contained a remarkable characterization of brief pulses, blips, and moans that ranged in frequency from 20 to 175 Hertz. These phonetic components, within the stanzas, were so orderly that listeners could predict the appearance of the next type of signal. (Author).
