In addition to continuing to moniter [sic] attitudes on European integration, life satisfaction, and social goals, this study focused on respondent attitudes toward use of the European Currency Unit (ECU). Attitudes toward the addition of Spain and Portugal to the EEC were also investigated. Respondents were also questioned concerning their reactions to a variety of possible changes in working conditions such as more flexibility in working hours and the granting of wage concessions when companies are in difficulty.
