The Multiculturalism Act applies to the work of all Government of Canada departments, agencies and Crown corporations and the Multiculturalism Program is specifically mandated to address ethnic, racial, linguistic and religious diversity within Canadian society. This report focusses on the results achieved by a selection of federal institutions. Results are considered in four areas: policies and programs, research, services, and representative involvement. Common success factors are summarized and institutional change is examined.
