Edwin A.R. Rumball-Petre
註釋This collection contains his notes and correspondence in typescript, 1934-1952, primarily concerning old Bibles. Included are letters from historical societies, colleges, scholarly institutions, and private individuals relative to the location, identification, and value of specific Bibles, research work compiled by his associate George H. Hartwig ( - ), professor of English at Dana College, Blair, Nebraska, extensive notes on various Bibles, especially the "Sting" and Geneva versions, Rumball-Petre's tentative draft for a prospectus on America's First Bibles with a census of extant copies, and a few photographs, newsclippings, and negatives. Among those several institutions and individuals included in the correspondence are Clarence Saunders Brigham (1877-1963), Helen Keller (1880-1968), several correspondents from the Vatican in Rome, the Huntington Library, Yale University Library, the Clements Library, and colleges and historical societies in many states, in addition to several foreign correspondents.
