Consideration of Assistive Technology in the Individualized Education Program (IEP)
註釋"The author's main focus of this thesis is to inform special education teachers of the current federal regulations for including assistive technology in the Individualized Education Program (IEP). A timeline of historical and current trends is given to illustrate the emergence of the term assistive technology over the past 30 years. Specific learning disability is defined, as is assistive technology, assistive technology device and assistive technology service. The literature review includes benefits of using assistive technology for a student with a specific learning disability, as well as the problems associated with implementing assistive technology.
