The Lipoedema Diet
註釋Lipoedema is a baffling and debilitating condition that is often misdiagnosed. Discovered in 1944 little is known about why the condition occurs. Treatment options are limited and not satisfactory. However, we do know enough about the processes that collectively converge to develop and progress lipoedema, to be able to address those individual processes through bespoke diet. The author argues that as lipoedema is a result of all these processes, then addressing one of two of these processes effectively stops the development and progression of the condition. The author states that de novo conditions do not necessarily have a genetic basis but are the result of a peculiar set of environmental factors that converge at a specific time in history. As diets change a new set of inflammatory and angiogenic nutritional substances are introduced that have the potential to generate a new condition. In this book, the author explores how changes in diet can inhibit or progress the condition, lipoedema. Justifications based on sound research are included producing a dietary handbook that specifically targets the known pathological processes fuelling lipoedema.
