註釋This is the second report of the Review Group appointed by the Archbishops in 1999 to consider the future needs and resourcing of Bishops. The first report, published in June 2001, addressed the key questions of how Bishops should be resourced, and it advanced a set of proposals designed to demonstrate and embody clear principles of appropriateness, equity and transparency for the Church in the twenty-first century. In this second and related report, the group considers how these principles might apply to the ministries of the two Archbishops.

Both detailed and clear, this report will be crucial in informing the wider Church about the pressures and opportunities of the contemporary archiepiscopate in England.
