Vzhledem k tomu, že se výuka portugalštiny nejčastěji věnuje portugalštině standardní, případně hovorové, a jen okrajově se dotýká jazyka odborného, jedná se o práci velmi aktuální, protože reaguje na současnou potřebu, danou stále silnější integrací České republiky do Evropské unie.

This publication introduces the main issues and specifics of legal Portuguese. The instruction of Portuguese generally focuses on standard or spoken language, while presenting technical and professional language only tangentially. The fact that this textbook concentrates on legal Portuguese makes it particularly relevant as it reflects the current needs arising from the ever increasing integration of the Czech Republic into the EU.
