註釋
Two applications of piezoelectric patched (referred to hereafter as 'piezopatches') connected to electric circuits are studied. The first is a semi-active vibration control system; the second is an energy harvesting system. Both systems are composed of piezopatches connected in parallel with negative impedance converters (NICs). The necessary tuning equations for each application are found and circuit stability is analyzed. The equation of motion for a cantilevered (fixed-free boundary conditions) piezoelectric strip under harmonic loading is derived, and an in depth analysis of a negative capacitance circuit (NCCC) is given. Two different piezoelectric materials are tested using either acoustic or mechanical excitation. Acoustic excitation is applied as a distributed load over the length of the patch. The mechanical excitation is applied as a point load at the patch's clamped edge. Experimental results are compared to theoretical predictions, and the effectiveness of each proposed system is discussed.
