註釋The hymnal Gospel Hymns Nos. 1-6 (1894) represents, more than any other collection, the urban revivalism that inspired it. It was published overseas and in many languages; its British version reportedly sold eighty million copies. Its leading editor, Ira D. Sankey, compiled it for religious meetings held by the century's best-known evangelist and founder of urban revivalism, Dwight L. Moody. As the first internationally famous evangelist-musician team, Moody and Sankey created a revival tradition that
