註釋A study was undertaken to examine the strength parameter phi of backfills of retaining walls. The objectives were to evaluate the current practice employed by the Colorado Department of Transportation for determination of design strength parameters and to propose improved criteria for determination of design strength parameters. Laboratory tests were performed to compile the strength parameters and index properties of 100 soils. The compiled properties include gradation, Atterberg limits, maximum dry density and optimum water content, and internal friction angle.
