This collection contains letters written to Felt while he was writing the "Annals." The correspondents were assisting Felt with his research on the town, including the history of Salem newspapers, churches, Sunday schools, and shipping industry in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. There are records of baptisms, church members, insurance companies, customs houses, and New England Quakers. There is also information on Rev. Nathaniel Bradstreet (1770-1827).
