Particular attention is given to the recorded healings by Jesus in the Gospels and by the Apostles in Acts, relating them to modern medical concepts, particularly diagnostic categories. This book argues that the healings undertaken by Jesus and the Apostles show the consistent and coherent pattern of conditions amenable to 'folk medicine.'
