After the Apology
註釋In this speech, After the apology, Patrick Dodson makes reference to the play, Jandamarra, being presented at the Festival of Perth by the Bunuba people of the Fitzroy Valley in the Kimberley which tells the story of the Bunuba warrior Jandamarra and his battle with the colonisers of the Fitzroy Valley. He says this is part of the journey of healing and reconciliation. Patrick Dodson continues that "the Nation through Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, has apologised to the thousands of Indigenous people over many generations who were stolen or forcibly removed ...".
