Garman and Worse a Norwegian Novel
註釋Alexander Lange Kielland was a 19th century Norwegian author. Even though born into a wealthy family Kielland always supported the less fortunate. He was known for treating the workers well in the factory he owned. Among his most famous works are the novels Garman and amp; Worse (1880), Skipper Worse (1882), and Poison (Gift, 1883). Garman and Worse tells the story of a rich family from Stavanger, Norway. The family makes foolish decisions and has both love and tragedy in their lives. Kielland disliked the clergy and there is a marvelously villainous priest in the story.
