註釋The purpose of this atlas is to reveal the landscape generated by the NZDep2001 index of socioeconomic deprivation. NZDep2001 was released for public use in September 2002. This atlas, which provides a mapped version of NZDep2001, updates and expands upon the first deprivation atlas. New sections have been added that discuss ethical issues related to the mapping of socioeconomic deprivation, the problem of confusing NZDep with the underlying reality, and issues related to carrying out longitudinal analyses that compare NZDep scores across different censuses. Also, new case studies have been included, and the map collection has been updated and expanded.
