1860-1880- The 19th Century
註釋1860-1880 was a time of European dominance around the globe. Major scientific and medical discoveries would set the stage for the modern world at the turn of the century. By 1880, many countries that had once been feudal and ruled by monarchs adopted modern, secular governments. Traditional forms of slavery were all abolished and replaced with a new form of economic slavery and a strong labor movement around the globe. This volume examines major events of this period and describes how and why they changed the world forever.
