Nick Johnson Fonds

註釋Fonds is comprised of a tape recording (original tape and CD copy) of an interview in Saulteaux by George Pequaquat (of Poorman Reserve near Quinton, Saskatchewan) with Fred Mooso, medicine man, of Weekes, Saskatchewan, recorded on November 25, 1973. The topic of conversation was sacred objects in the collections of the Glenbow-Alberta Institute. Pequaquat showed photographs of the objects to Mooso who then told stories and sang songs that related to the objects. The interview was arranged by Nick Johnson. Fonds includes an English translation of Mooso's stories as published in "artscanada" (December 1973/January 1974) with an introduction by Johnson, as well as handwritten translations by Paquaquat and photographs of the artifacts.
