註釋Examines the involvement of Lithuanian composers in European modern music movements and participation in the International Society of Contemporary Music. The early activities of the Lithuanian section of the TŠMD (1936-1939), its prehistory and reception during the Cold War are studied in the context of international musical modernization processes and socio-cultural breaks, revealing the interaction and contradictions of political, cultural, national and musical identities. The formation of the new music scenes in Kaunas and Vilnius is associated with national factors (modern cultural self-determination, generational change) and international impulses (the struggle for the institutionalization of modern music, the intensifying international cooperation of musicians as a means of overcoming political and cultural antagonisms).
