註釋Portraying fantasies, knights, medieval maidens and fantastic personages are some of the main personages that since the decade of 1950, artist Marcello Grassman draws. He is one of the greatest talents of the engraving in Brazil and his work surpassed borders, becoming recognized everywhere. His interest in this type of personages comes from his childhood, from the universe of stories published in little leaflets. Grassmann is also an accomplished drawer who presents a few of his most intimate sketches (selected by Grassmann and Lygia Eluf) in the present series. Eluf gives a fresh perspective on Grassmann's work when she reveals what is hidden, guarded in the intimacy of the notebook of pocket, of the studio, of the first expression of the artist in contact with the world.
