Določanje telomerazne aktivnosti v epitelijskih hiperplastičnih spremembah in epitelijskih tumorjih ustne votline , žrela in grla
註釋The aim of our study was to assess the role of telomerase re-activation in thecarcinogenesis of squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx, and to validate whether the relative copy number of telomerase catalytic subunit (hTERT) mRNA could be used as a molecular biomarker of malignant transformation. The relative copy number of hTERT mRNA was determined in 89 invasive squamous cell carcinomas and 94 tissue samples adjacent to invasive tumour of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx, by the commercially available ćLightCycler TeIoTAGGGhTERT Quantification Kitć using aLightCycler instrument. The presence and relative copy number of hTERT mRNA increased progressively with the degree of epithelial abnormalities, classified according to the Ljubljana classification.
