註釋The Dunemann method of seedling production uses forest tree litter as a growing medium instead of mineral soil. This report summarizes trials conducted at the Midhurst (Ontario) Research Station to test & compare the development and field performance of Dunemann stock with stock produced at the nearby Midhurst nursery. Three trials were conducted to compare germination, seedling development, and outplanting performance of red & white pine and Norway spruce. The results are presented & evaluated to see if the Dunemann system of producing stock is a viable option in Ontario.
