註釋
The Sufi tale: "it is a good life" is crafted based on the Sufi master Saadi's life and his teaching. Saadi experienced poverty as a young man, but his longings for knowledge made him to leave Shiraz at age of approximately eighteen years old. He enrolled at the Nizamiyya University in Baghdad in1228 C.E. After invasion of Genghis Khan of Iran in 1219 to 1221 C.E, Saadi wandered for thirty years in known world to escape the devastation Mongol invasion. Historians regard the Mongol invasions as the first scourge the earth and burn devastation policy in human history. According to Brian Landers, "From Asia into Europe in an orgy of violence, death and destruction followed the Mongol army. Saadi lived in desolate areas and met caravans fearing for their lives on once-lively silk trade routes and desolate camps of poor people feeling Mongol army. He met bandits, merchant and preachers, men of great wealth who lost their fortune owned, former warrior, Sufis, and most of all ordinary people. Saadi lived among with the ordinary survivors of the war-torn region by Mongol Army. He spent many hours in remote tea houses late into the night and exchanged understandings with merchants, farmers, preachers, travelers, thieves, and Sufi panhandlers Later years in his traveler, Saadi was captured by Crusaders where he spent seven years as a slave. He was later released after a ransom paid to the Crusaders. Then again, he lived as a wondering traveler learning, teaching, preaching, advising, and enhancing his understanding what is the practical path to human happiness. This Sufi tale is based on the Saadi's teachings. Sufi Tales are presented in English and Persian.
