Stress-strain Behavior and Failure of Uniaxial Composites in Combined Compression and Shear-I
註釋This paper considers the effects of increasing fiber tilt with increasing load in uniaxial composites, culminating in kink band formation. The fibers themselves are assumed to remain elastic. Nonlinearities result from changing fiber tilt and yielding fo the matrix. Compressive stress-strain relations and failure are treated from a unified viewpoint. Comparisons are made between theory and experiment. Originator supplied keywords include: Unidirectional composites; Carbon-carbon composites; and Initial misalignment.
