Ecology and Management of Morels Harvested from the Forests of Western North America
註釋Morels are prized edible mushrooms that fruit, sometimes prolifically, in many forest types throughout western North America. They are collected for personal consumption & commercially harvested as valuable special (non-timber) forest products. Large gaps remain, however, in our knowledge about their taxonomy, biology, ecology, cultivation, safety, & how to manage forests & harvesting activities to conserve morel populations & ensure sustainable crops. This publication provides forest managers, policymakers, mycologists, & mushroom harvesters with a synthesis of current knowledge regarding these issues, regional summaries of morel harvesting & management, & a comprehensive review of the literature.
