The Expedition of President Chester A. Arthur to Yellowstone National Park in 1883
註釋An account of President Chester A. Arthur?s 1883 visit to Yellowstone National Park written by Jack Ellis Haynes and published in the 1942 edition of the Annals of Wyoming. Haynes provides the dates and distances traveled by the presidential party between Bell Springs and Fort Washakie. Haynes provides further detailed descriptions of their progress through Wyoming until the end of their journey at the Park Headquarters in Mammoth. Within the park, the presidential party camped at Lewis Lake, the Upper Geyser Basin, West Thumb, Yellowstone Lake, Cascade Creek, and Mammoth. Arthur?s party included General Philip Sheridan and early park photographer F. Jay Haynes.
