Pierre Ulysses Greber notebook and papers
註釋Contains a handwritten and typewritten notebook containing notes summarizing Greber's hotel and restaurant studies in the Schweizerische Hotelfachschule Luzern, Lucerne, Switzerland, during the early 1940s, culminating in his graduation in 1945. The notebook is primarily written in German, with a few entries in English and French. Of interest, in addition to the detailed notes and insights into the training provided to those entering the hotel and restaurant industry in the 1940s, is the timing and place of the notebook's creation-- Switzerland during World War II. The notebook provides an interesting evidential perspective on aspects of civilian life in the neutral nation during the height of the fighting in other European countries. Also includes a black and white photograph of the 1945 graduating class, showing Greber and other students, copies of two versions of Greber's resume or curricula vitae, and copies of several newspaper articles about his business enterprises in Puerto Rico.
