Introducing Teaching Case Studies in Project Management Journal
註釋Project Management Journal® is an academic journal dedicated to publishing research relevant to researchers, reflective practitioners, and organizations. In this regard, as scholars, we have a double role: first, to advance project studies (Geraldi & Söderlund, 2018) in an academic world with sound research; second, to create new knowledge from research, which transfers to the practice organizations. This relation between theory and practice is not new nor unique to the project management field as it has been a major issue for philosophers of science for centuries (e.g., Aristotle, Descartes). There are several means to establishing a close relationship between scholars and professionals. Van de Ven (2007) suggested the term engaged scholarship as a broad approach to establishing a dynamic conversation between scholars and professionals during all phases of research.
