John Meade Falkner was an English author and poet who wrote some classic novels near the turn of the twentieth century. Falkner was also notable for being the chairman of the arms manufacturer Armstrong Whitworth during World War I.The Nebuly Coat, published in 1903, is a novel that tells the story of a young architect who is sent to a remote town to supervise some work. While there the architect gets caught up in the mysteries and rumors of the town.
