James T. Gray Correspondence
註釋This collection consists of photocopies of eight letters to Captain James T. Gray from E.S. Farrow, Judith E. Eltonhead (Camp Sturgis and Fisti Creek, Montana Territory) and Charles E.S. Wood (Henry's Lake, Idaho Teritory, and New York, New York). Also included is a copy of a printed report (August 29, 1877) written by Charles E.S. Wood, Second Lieutenent, 21st Infantry, Acting Aide-de-Camp to Brigadier General Oliver Otis Howard. The report describes General Howard's pursuit of the Nez Percé Indians. The letters have been transcribed by Jeanna Greenlee and copies of the transcripts are included in the collection.
