How Do You Give a Frog Away?
註釋How Do You Give A Frog Away? is a whimsical tale about a youngster who is searching for a new home for her rambunctious little frog. The frog's shenanigans include the expected leaping and frolicing, but this frog can also dance and sing. Throughout the seasons of the year, the frog likes to interfere with games such as football and baseball, and enjoys taking rides on skateboards. After pondering the various aspects of her frog's personality, the little girl decides that she does not really want to give the frog away, which in the end is a good thing, since no one will take her frog.
The authors have made an earnest attempt to equip parents and teachers with a systematic and entertaining approach to the teaching of beginning reading. The theme of rhythm was choosen because children love to chant and are eager to absorb learning when they can set their learning to rhyme. More than seventy (70) percent of the most frequently used sight vocabulary words are incorporated in this text (vocabulary also utilized in standardized tests). Phonemic awarness is also presented by use of this vocabulary. Short, practical lessons are provided to the parent/guardian so that they may be better informed and involved in the reading process.
